Double Demerit Points

Double demerit points are effective over periods of high community traffic such as major holidays (Easter or Christmas/New Year) as well as specific long weekends and public holidays. Double demerit points are combined with fines to discourage dangerous driving habits such as speeding, traffic light violations and not wearing seatbelts.
